Mobile app development for Australian businesses, with the backend built in.
We design and build mobile apps for Australian businesses, along with the API and admin dashboard that sit behind them. Apps we built are live with students in Kuwait and pet owners in the USA. One senior team writes the code, gets it through both app stores and supports it after launch.
- 9: client platforms live across Kuwait, Pakistan and the USA
- 2: QA engineers testing each release on physical phones
- Both stores: App Store and Google Play releases handled by us
- Your accounts: developer accounts, listings and signing keys in your name
§ 01Overview
The app, the API and the admin, from one team.
We plan the app around the jobs your users need to get done, build it in stages you can install and try on your own phone, and take it through both store reviews ourselves. You are never waiting until launch day to see what you are paying for.
App projects usually go wrong at the joins. One company builds the app, another builds the server, and every bug turns into an argument about whose side it is on. We build the app, the API it talks to and the dashboard your staff use, so a single team answers for all three.
For Bright Future in Kuwait, students use our iPhone and Android apps to find a course, pay to enrol and stream HD lessons that only their own account can open, and instructors use the apps too. For a US client, VetPet Central lets pet owners book in-person or video visits with a vet and keep their pets’ records, on the web and on both phone platforms.
Most of our apps are written in React Native and TypeScript, which lets screens and business rules be shared between iPhone and Android. When a feature needs native code, that part is written in Swift or Kotlin. If your app would be better built fully native, we will say so at the first call.
Our head office is in Hobart and our engineers work from Lahore. The Lahore morning falls in the Australian afternoon, so new builds, demos and urgent fixes arrive while you are still at work.
Where it fits
- Customer apps with accounts, bookings and payments
- Course and video learning apps
- Booking and telehealth apps
- Staff apps connected to the systems you already run
- Both platforms. iPhone and Android released together
- API and admin included. One team owns every layer
- Tested on real phones. Two QA engineers on each release
- Store releases handled. App Store and Google Play, in your name
§ 02What you get
Six deliverables.
Cross-platform builds
React Native and TypeScript let us write screens, navigation and business rules once for iPhone and Android. Native Swift or Kotlin goes in only where a feature needs it, such as biometric sign-in, the camera or blocking screen recording.
The API behind the app
We build the server side in Laravel or Node.js and keep looking after it once the app is live. When the app and the server disagree, the same team fixes whichever end is wrong, with no handover between companies.
Payments in the app
Carts, coupons, instalment plans and invoices. Bright Future takes course payments inside both apps through MyFatoorah, KNET included, and unlocks the lessons once the payment clears. For card payments elsewhere we connect a provider such as Stripe.
Secure video
HLS streaming through Bunny CDN, with access checked chapter by chapter, playback that resumes where the viewer stopped, and a device limit so one login cannot be passed around a whole class.
Notifications and deep links
Push messages that open the right screen, links that still work when the app was fully closed, and actions that recover cleanly when the signal drops halfway through. We test on patchy mobile data, not only on office wifi.
App Store and Google Play
Store listings, screenshots, privacy labels and Google Play’s data safety form, then TestFlight and Play testing tracks before release. If a reviewer pushes back, we reply, fix the cause and resubmit, and we do the same for every update.
§ 03How it runs
Four steps, in the open.
- Step 01
Map the tasks
We list the jobs each kind of user needs to do on their phone, then work out the screens, states and API calls behind it. A written scope, a build order and a fixed quote in AUD come before any development.
- Step 02
Build in short stages
Every stage finishes with an installable build: TestFlight on iPhone and an internal testing track on Android. Your feedback shapes the next stage, so nothing arrives as a surprise at the end.
- Step 03
Test on physical phones
Our two QA engineers run each release on real iPhones and Android handsets, older and smaller models included, before anything is sent for review.
- Step 04
Release and support
We submit to both stores and stay on afterwards for crash reports, fixes and the yearly iOS and Android updates that tend to break things. Ongoing support is month to month, and there is no lock-in.
